LANDSCAPES

Robert paints his landscapes on site or plein air.  His favorite places to paint are the California wetlands, farmlands, coast, and particularly the Sacramento delta area, where the life, landscape, and vibe create a unique setting.   He often paints landscapes in series to contrast views, weather effects, and colors.

Robert enjoys finding and painting  classic California houses.  He likes older houses that are a bit used, neglected, under repair, with their own artistic gesture and personality.  His paintings often depict a passing moment in the lives of these houses, such as  houses raised on jacks  or wrapped in Tyvek for rehab.
